ViewHouse Colorado Springs is a striking example of adaptive reuse and visionary redevelopment. What began as a 3.8-acre site with a vacant bank and office building has been transformed into one of the city’s most vibrant dining and entertainment destinations.
From the start, the goal was clear: create a place that celebrates community, activates the neighborhood, and captures the panoramic beauty of Pikes Peak. To achieve this, the project team worked closely with city officials, neighbors, and design professionals to reimagine the property. Through a zoning change and concept plan approval in 2016, the site was reborn as a mixed-use space, blending a full-service restaurant with office functionality.
The design embraces both style and scale. Inside, custom steelwork defines the atmosphere—floor-to-ceiling candle partitions, a dramatic blackened-steel fireplace hood, and expansive shelving that frames the bar and entertainment areas. These features create a warm, contemporary feel while highlighting the vertical volume of the space. Outside, the restaurant’s expansive patios and open views connect guests directly to Colorado’s natural backdrop.
Beyond its architecture, ViewHouse Colorado Springs represents a commitment to smart urban growth. By revitalizing an existing structure rather than building new, the project minimized sprawl, preserved land, and brought fresh energy to a previously underutilized site. Today, it serves not only as a gathering place for food and entertainment but also as a catalyst for local economic development—supporting jobs, drawing visitors, and enhancing the city’s cultural fabric.
