Fuel Project
Our team lead construction for the successful delivery of a new QuikTrip fueling station and convenience store in Lakewood, Colorado. The scope of work included full-site civil development, ground-up vertical construction, and coordination of all utility and infrastructure improvements required by local jurisdictions.
Significant site preparation was required, including a 10-foot over-excavation across the entire building and paving footprint to address unsuitable soils and ensure long-term stability. The team managed complex grading and compaction operations while adhering to strict geotechnical and municipal specifications. The project featured the installation of underground fuel tanks and associated piping systems, completed in full compliance with EPA, state, and QuikTrip safety standards. Our team coordinated tank setting, leak detection systems, and testing protocols to ensure long-term reliability and environmental protection.

The store also featured bullet-resistant glazing for all external glazing to meet corporate security specifications while maintaining visibility and aesthetic integration.
Roadway improvements were also a major component of the project. This included public right-of-way work, new curb and gutter installation, new traffic lights and coordination with city inspectors to tie into existing traffic circulation patterns and utilities without disrupting the surrounding community or businesses.
Construction remained on schedule and within budget, despite seasonal weather impacts and jurisdictional permitting hurdles. Our team’s experience with fuel center construction and in-house coordination with civil, MEP, and structural scopes allowed us to streamline delivery and ensure QuikTrip’s operational readiness.
